A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Worthington) –the demigod son of Zeus (Neeson)–is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades (Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston). The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’ godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramirez), switch loyalties and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’ remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

‘Doctor Who’ Post

Catching you up on Who news from the last week.

Steven Moffat has announced at the Press Screening today that the Ponds will leave in Season 7 and that a new companion will join the Doctor on his travels.

“The final days of the Ponds are coming during the next series,” he said. “I’m not telling you when or how, but that story is going to come to a heartbreaking end… Then The Doctor will meet a new friend.”

Moffat added that he believes River Song (Alex Kingston) will make a return appearance, though it is unknown if the character will be involved in the couple’s exit storyline.

Matt Smith stated: “The show will miss the Ponds, brilliantly played by Karen and Arthur, but the great thing about Doctor Who is its ability to change. We had the most incredible journey. We took over the show and we’ve really had to hold hands and help each other through it. So it’s very disappointing, but one has to remember that this show is about change and regeneration, and that’s what galvanizes it and pushes it forwards.”

As yet no-one has been cast as the new companion.

‘The Hunger Games’ Post!

Lots of merch is starting to get released for this film. But to start us off here is a new group photo of Katniss, Peeta and Gale. 🙂

Below are some sketches from various top designers of what that dress could have looked like. Here is what Celebrity Dirty had to say about the sketches:

“That’s a special dress, a costume that the production’s costume designers must get right to please the fans. That scene in which the dress is worn is such a pivotal moment to not only the plot, but in Katniss’ development as a character. It’s going to be a hard task to pull off, especially because the image of the dress itself is open to so many interpretations . . . but fans will know the right dress when they see it. InStyle got together 11 designers to whip-up a few sketches that depict what they think the dress should look like.”
Sketches of Katniss’ Fire Dress has been released. I’m so excited to see this in the movie. Which is your fav?

Now on to the merch.
